Anthropic on April 11 released Claude for Word in public beta — a native sidebar add-in for Microsoft Word that joins existing Claude integrations for Excel and PowerPoint. The add-in reads multi-section documents, processes comment threads, and makes edits that surface as tracked changes reviewable by users. Anthropic's launch materials lead with legal contract review use cases (summarizing commercial terms, flagging non-standard provisions, redlining), though the tool targets any enterprise document workflow. Access is currently restricted to Team and Enterprise plan customers ($25/seat/month and up).
