A Gallup survey of 23,717 US employees conducted February 4–19, 2026 and published April 13 found that 50% of employed Americans now use AI in their role at least occasionally, up from 46% the prior quarter and the first time Gallup has recorded majority usage. Frequent use is also climbing — 13% use AI daily and 28% multiple times weekly — while 65% of workers in AI-adopting organizations report improved productivity. Despite that, fewer than one in ten strongly agree that AI has transformed how work actually gets done, revealing a gap between reported efficiency gains and deeper organizational change.
