DeepL released its real-time voice translation product on April 16, adding add-ons for Zoom and Microsoft Teams that let listeners hear translated speech or follow translated text in real-time while others speak their native language. The suite also covers mobile and web one-on-one conversations, group workshop sessions joinable via QR code, and a Voice API for businesses building call-center and other integrations. Meeting add-ons are in early access via a waitlist; the API is generally available. The current pipeline runs speech-to-text → translation → text-to-speech; DeepL says it is working toward an end-to-end model that skips the text step entirely.
