OpenAI updated its Agents SDK on April 15 to add sandboxed code execution and a more capable orchestration harness for enterprise deployments. The sandbox isolates agents inside a controlled compute environment, limiting file and code access to a defined workspace scope. The new harness adds configurable memory, file-system tools, and a Manifest abstraction for portable workspace descriptions; it integrates with Blaxel, Cloudflare, and Vercel as sandbox providers. The update ships in Python first, with TypeScript support planned, and is available to all API customers at standard pricing.
