Sam Altman's World (formerly Worldcoin) announced a major upgrade to its World ID proof-of-humanity system and new integrations with Zoom, Tinder, Shopify, DocuSign, and Okta, per Axios and CoinDesk. The Zoom integration — called "Deep Face" — lets meeting hosts require biometric verification that participants are real humans rather than deepfakes, addressing a threat that cost one engineering firm $25 million in a fabricated video call. World also open-sourced its updated protocol so any app can integrate proof-of-humanity as an authentication layer, and introduced tools for AI agents to verify their principals are human.
