On April 7, Anthropic launched Project Glasswing, an initiative to use Claude Mythos Preview to find and fix critical software vulnerabilities before attackers do. The model has already identified thousands of zero-day flaws across major operating systems and browsers, including vulnerabilities that survived decades of human review. Anthropic committed up to $100M in Claude Mythos usage credits and $4M in donations to open-source security organizations; founding partners include AWS, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JPMorganChase, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks. Over 40 additional critical infrastructure maintainers have been granted access to the gated model, priced at $25/$125 per million input/output tokens.
