2026-04-23 01:07

Anthropic announced on April 7, 2026 that it signed an expanded compute agreement with Google and Broadcom for 3.5 gigawatts of Google TPU capacity—up from the 1GW+ secured under a prior October 2025 deal—with most of the new infrastructure slated to come online in 2027 and located in the United States. Alongside the announcement, Anthropic disclosed its annual revenue run rate has surpassed $30 billion, up from approximately $9 billion at the end of 2025, with more than 1,000 enterprise customers each spending over $1 million annually. CFO Krishna Rao called it "our most significant compute commitment to date" as the company continues training and running Claude across AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and Nvidia GPUs. The deal follows Anthropic's $30 billion Series G in February and a separate $5 billion Amazon investment announced in April.
