Anthropic Labs released Claude Design on April 17 as a research preview for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. The tool — powered by Claude Opus 4.7 — generates prototypes, slides, and one-pagers from text prompts, reads a team's codebase and design files to build a consistent design system, and exports to Canva, PDF, PPTX, or standalone HTML. Finished designs can be handed off to Claude Code in a single instruction. Anthropic positions it as bridging the gap between an idea and a first visual artifact rather than replacing dedicated design tools like Figma.
