Anthropic released a "Claude for Creative Work" initiative on April 28, shipping nine MCP-based connectors that let Claude operate directly inside professional software: Adobe (50+ Creative Cloud apps including Photoshop and Premiere), Blender, Autodesk Fusion, Ableton, SketchUp, Affinity by Canva, Resolume Arena and Wire, and Splice. Each connector exposes the application's native API to Claude—scripting Blender scenes via natural language, controlling Resolume Arena in real time for live AV performance, or searching Splice's royalty-free sample catalog without leaving Claude. Anthropic also joined the Blender Development Fund as a patron and is partnering with RISD and Goldsmiths on creative computation curricula.
