Palo Alto Networks announced it will acquire Portkey, an AI gateway startup that processes trillions of tokens per month for enterprise agent pipelines, inspecting agent actions, enforcing policies, and monitoring inter-agent traffic. Portkey will be integrated into Prisma AIRS as the unified control plane for AI agent security, forming the basis of what Palo Alto is calling a new Agentic Endpoint Security category. The deal — Palo Alto's 12th Israeli cyber acquisition since 2014 — is expected to close in Q4 fiscal 2026; terms were not disclosed.
