Microsoft launched Agent 365 into general availability on May 1, 2026, providing a unified control plane for discovering, governing, and securing AI agent fleets across Windows, Azure, and multicloud environments. The three pillars are observability (a centralized agent registry and activity dashboard), governance (lifecycle management, distribution controls, admin approval workflows), and security (Conditional Access policies, threat detection, and DLP extended to agent interactions). Agent 365 is provider-agnostic—it works with OpenAI, Anthropic, ServiceNow, Workday, or custom LangChain builds—and is included in Microsoft 365 E5 or available standalone at $15/user/month. It is also bundled into the new Microsoft 365 E7 SKU alongside Copilot and the Entra Suite.
